Information on the WEEE compliance directive for Toshiba channel partners in Ireland
In line with the recent announcement on the www.ibec.ie web site (7/7/5) we would like to draw your attention to the requirements needed as an importer of Toshiba products into Ireland.
Essentially there are 2 actions needed to keep in line with the steps indicated by the above announcement:-
- Importers must register using the weeeregister@gmail.com web site address by the 20th July 2005 - Please use www.ibec.ie to clarify what is needed
- Importers must complete the quantities (by weight & units) by 29th July 2005.
Notes
Item 1 above - this needs to be completed by yourselves as Toshiba does not know your plans for selecting a solution to the WEEE regulation in Ireland - there are 2 choices as far as Toshiba can see in Ireland a) WEEE Ireland and b) ERP.
Item 2 above - this requires information on the weights of Toshiba Products - we can provide this data and in order to assist you in this task we would like to invite you to send your requests for product weight data to :-

This legislation is very important and failure to comply may result in fines and exclusion from selling product in Ireland.
